etc.

elections shall divide said district as nearly as may be by
metes and bounds, and shall insert a description of each of
said precincts in two papers of general circulation in said
Allegany County once a week for three successive weeks
before the 1st day of August, 1900, and on or before the 1st
day of August, 1900, shall file a copy of said notice and de-
scription, and the printers' certificate thereto in the Clerk's
office for the Circuit Court for Allegany County, to be therein
recorded among the land records of said county, and the
voters residing in said precinct shall be entitled to the same
rights and privileges as voters in other precincts in said
county; and the said Board of Election Supervisors shall
appoint such officers of registration and election required in
each precinct, as are necessary under the laws of the State of
Maryland.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 514.
AN ACT to incorporate the Trustees of the Baltimore Annual
Conference of the Colored Methodist Protestant Church.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Edward W. Scott, Boston H. Knight, James J.
Moore, James H. Smith, Alfred Harmond, Benjamin Brown,
George E. Cooker, Lewis Chaney and Israel Butler and their
successors duly elected and appointed in manner hereinafter
provided, be and they are hereby made and constituted a body
politic and corporate; to have perpetual succession by the name,
style and title of the Trustees of the Baltimore Annual Confer-
ence of the Colored Methodist Protestant Church, and by that
name, style and title are hereby made and declared able and
capable in law to take, receive, hold, possess and acquire by
gift, devise, bequest, grant or otherwise lands, tenements,
goods, chattels, estates and property of any kind whatsoever,
and the same again to grant, devise, pledge, a lien or dispose
of; provided, that the clear yearly income of the real and
personal estate of said corporation shall not exceed the sum
of fifty thousand dollars.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That no misnomer of the said
corporation and its successors shall defeat or annul any pur-
chase, gift, grant or bequest to or from the said corporation;
provided, the intent of the party or parties shall sufficiently
