each of the Circuit Courts of the several counties of the State,
to the Court of appeals, the Land Office, the Library Company
of the Baltimore bar, and such library or historical association
as may be approved by the Maryland Historical Society, and
said society shall make report to the next General Assembly
of the progress of the work, and of all receipts and disburse-
ments under this Act.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 498.
AN ACT to provide for the appointment of an attorney to
the County Commissioners of Talbot County.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the County Commissioners of Talbot County shall
appoint an attorney, who shall perform such legal services as
may be required of him, and who shall hold his office for two
years from the date of his appointment and until his successor
is appointed and enters upon the performance of his duties;
he shall receive an annual salary of two hundred dollars, and
the County Commissioners are prohibited from voting to him
any extra or additional compensation on account of the per-
formance of any duties directly or indirectly pertaining to his
office, save and except such necessary traveling expenses as
he shall incur in the performance of his said duties as attorney
to said County Commissioners.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

land, That Samuel H. Long, Buchanan Schley, Norman B.
Scott, Jr., William Kealhofer, Norman C. McPherson,
Edward W. Mealey, John W. Stonebraker, Wilfred H.
McCardell, Samuel B. Loose, Samuel A. Suter, Alexander
Neill, William F. Stonebraker, and their associates and suc-
cessors, and such other persons as shall hereafter become
stockholders in the company hereby incorporated, shall be
