demeanor, and upon conviction before a justice of the peace
trying the case shall be fined a sum not less than fifty dol-
lars nor more than one hundred dollars, and imprisoned in
the House of Correction for a period of three to six months,
one-half of said fine to be paid to the informer, and the other
half to be paid to the County Commissioners for the use of
the public schools.

Additional
rights.
|
966. Any person who shall have located on one-acre lot
of ground within the waters of St. Mary's County, as pre-
scribed by Chapter two hundred and seventy-four of the Acts
of eighteen hundred and ninety-eight, if he shall desire and
intend to take up a two-acre lot under the provisions of the
foregoing section, may either do so on one separate lot, or may
add one acre on to the original one-acre lot so taken up as
aforesaid, and record the same in the Clerk's office as pro-
vided in the foregoing section for the two-acre lot, which he
is therein permitted to take up and locate.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 481.
AN ACT to add new sections to Article 2, of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "Anne Arundel County," sub-title
"Circuit Courts," to follow after Section one hundred and
eight, and co be designated Sections 108A, 108B, 108C,
108D and 108E, authorizing the appointment of a stenog-
rapher clerk to the grand jury, and defining his duties,
obligations and pay.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That additional sections be added to Article 2, of the
Code of Public Local Laws title "Anne Arundel County,"
sub-title "Circuit Courts," to follow after Section one hundred
and eight, and to be designated Sections 108A,108B, 108C,
108D and 108E, authorizing the appointment of a stenographer
clerk to the grand jury, and defining his duties, obligations
and pay, and to read as follows:
