Council may reject any and all bids or award the contract to
the lowest bidder therefor, at their discretion, requiring any
accepted bidder to give bond in such penalty as said Mayor

SEC. 9. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect

CHAPTER 479.
AN ACT to repeal and re-enact, with amendments, Sections
seventy-three and seventy-four of Article 19, of the Code of
Public Local Laws, title "St. Mary's County," sub-title
"Leonardtown."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections seventy-three and seventy- four of Article
19, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "St. Mary's
County," sub-title "Leonardtown," be and the same are
hereby repealed and re-enacted, with amendments, so as to
read as follows:

Leonardtown.

73. The Commissioners of the village of Leonardtown may
annually appoint an active and discreet person to be bailiff
within the limits of said village, and the said bailiff before
proceeding to the execution of his said office shall take au
oath, to be administered by a justice of the peace for said
county, that he will faithfully and impartially perform the
duties required of him as bailiff within the limits of said
village, according to the best of his skill and judgment; and
he shall give bond to the said corporation with security, to
be approved by said Commissioners, in such penalty as they
