another of thirty thousand dollars, conditioned for the proper
collection and disbursement of all moneys coming into his
hands for the county and the faithful performance of other
duties devolving upon him; said bonds to be approved, as
the bonds of the sheriff of the respective counties of this
State are approved, and recorded in the office of the Clerk of
the Circuit Court for Cecil County; and the said treasurer
before he shall enter upon the duties of his said office shall
take and subscribe before said clerk the oath prescribed by
Section six of Article i of the Constitution of the State.

120. It shall be the duty of the treasurer each year as soon
as the annual levy is made to give public notice thereof, by
advertisement in not less than two newspapers published in
said county, and said levy shall be due and payable on
the first day of September of the year in which it is
made; but there shall be allowed on all taxes paid before
the first day of September a discount of three per cent., before
the first day of October a discount of two per cent., and before
the first day of November a discount of one per cent. ; and in
the month of August the treasurer shall sit for two days at
the principal town in each election district, and in the months
of September and October one day for the purpose of receiv-
ing taxes, due notice of which sitting shall be given by him,
and he shall report to the County Commissioners at their
regular meeting on the second Tuesday in each month the
amount of taxes of all kinds received by him up to that date,
the amount of disbursements made and the balance remaining
in his hands; and he shall deposit at the close of each week
in banks designated by the County Commissioners all moneys
that may have come into his hands during said week, the por-
tion belonging to the State to the credit of the Comptroller of
the State Treasury, and that belonging to the county to the
credit of Cecil County, and shall receive therefor from said
banks two certificates of deposits; and he shall immediately
forward to the Comptroller the certificates showing the amount
placed to his credit, and shall exhibit to the County Commis-
sioners the one showing the amount placed to the credit of
Cecil County and file the same in their office, and the money
thus deposited to the credit of Cecil County shall be drawn
out only upon a check signed by the treasurer and approved
by the President of the Board of County Commissioners.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
