SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That all persons now residing
within the limits aforesaid of the Twelfth Nanticoke Election
District who are registered voters, or who may be entitled to
vote therein as in Precinct No. 1 of Tyaskin Election Dis-
trict, shall be entitled to vote and be registered in the Twelfth
Nanticoke Election District; provided, that the registration
books of Precinct No. 1 of Tyaskin No. 3 Election District
shall be taken and used as the books of registration for the
Twelfth Nanticoke Election District, and the books of regis-
tration of Precinct No. 2 of Tyaskin Election District No. 3
shall be taken and used as the books of registration for
Tyaskin No. 3 Election District, and the Board of Supervis-
ors of Elections shall order such changes made with headings,
and titling and numbering of said books as shall make them
correspond with the provisions of this Act.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the Board of County Com-
missioners of Wicomico County shall make such transfers of
property on the assessment books as will conform to this Act,
and such officers shall be appointed for said new Election
District No. 12, Nanticoke, as are appointed for other elec-
tion districts in said coun ty.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 427,
AN ACT to repeal Sections 54 and 55, of Article 17, of the
Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Clerks of
Court," and to re-enact the same with amendments.

Transfers of
property, etc.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sections 54 and 55, of Article 17, of the Code of
Public General Laws of Maryland, title "Clerks of Court,"
be and the same are hereby repealed and re-enacted, so as to
read as follows:

Court.

54. Every clerk, after he records any deed, mortgage, release
of mortgage, or lease of real estate, shall before delivering the
original, carefully and with accuracy enter the substance of
such deed, mortgage, release of mortgage, or lease of real
estate — that is to say, the date of the deed, mortgage, release
of mortgage, or lease of real estate, the Christian names and
surnames of the parties, with their additions, if any; the
