any violations of the terms and provisions of said law as
amended, enlarged and extended by this amendatory Act.

SEC. 8. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect at the
expiration of thirty days from its passage.

CHAPTER 65.
AN ACT to authorize and direct the School Commissioners
of Anne Arundel County to appropriate a sufficient sum of
money for the purchase of a site and erection of a school-
house in the fourth election district of Anne Arundel
County.

SECTION I. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the School Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County be and they are hereby authorized, empowered and
directed to appropriate a sum of money out of any funds in
their possession, not otherwise appropriated, sufficient for the
erection of a school-house for white children in said county
on the land now owned by G. Thomas Beasley; provided, the
said Beasley shall give, grant and convey one acre of land to the
said Board of School Commissioners of Anne Arundel County
as and for a school -house lot, the said lot to be located at or near
the corner formed by the intersection of the "Sulphur
Springs" County road with the new road leading from said
"Sulphur Springs" road to the "Telegraph" road.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the said school-
house shall be erected under the supervision and control of
the School Commissioners of said county, and the amount
expended for the erection of said school shall not exceed the
sum of five hundred dollars.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 66.
AN ACT entitled an Act to add an additional section to
Article 27, Section twenty -one, of the Code of Public Gen-
eral Laws, entitled "Crimes and Punishments," to be known
as Section 21 A of said Article.

land, That an additional section be added to Article 27, Sec-
