pleasure; that said corporation shall be subject at all times to
the provisions of the Acts of eighteen hundred and ninety-two,
Chapters one hundred and nine and two hundred and seventy-
nine, or amendments or supplements thereto.
SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 356.
AN ACT to add an additional section to Article 69 of the
Code of Public General Laws, title "Officers," to be known
as Section twelve.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That an additional section be and the same is hereby
added to Article 69 of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Officers," to be known as Section twelve and to read as
follows:

Appointment
of officers
not bona fide
residents for
specified time.
|
12. No person shall be appointed to any public office in
the State of Maryland who has not been an actual bona fide
resident of this State for at least twelve months prior to the
day of his appointment, and no person shall be appointed by
any State or county officials unless such person so appointed
shall have been an actual bona fide resident of the State of Mary-
land for at least twelve months, and of the county wherein he
is appointed for at least six months prior to the day of his
appointment.

Certain
exceptions.
|
SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall not
affect appointments of officers requiring special knowledge
or training, or the appointment to offices requiring expert
knowledge or training.
SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.
