other license for omnibuses or other vehicles to carry passen-
gers in the town as aforesaid.

Horses and
mules.

(18.) All venders or dealers in horses or mules, whether the
parties be residents or otherwise; provided, that the pro-
prietor of a livery stable may sell the same without any addi-
tional license.

Auction of
horses, etc.

(19.) The promoters of any public auction of horses, mules,
other goods and chattels.
(20.) All undertakers.
|
Newspapers.
Stallions.
|
(21.) The proprietors and publishers of any newspaper, the
same parties to procure but one license, though they may
issue a daily and weekly paper.
(22.) All stallions which stand within the corporate limits.

carriage or
wagon for
pleasute.
Proviso.

(23.) All persons who keep a horse and carriage or wagon for
pleasure; provided that for any team not more than one dollar
per year be charged for license; provided, that except in the
case of proprietors or managers of theatres who provide horses
for performances, and also except circuses, not more than ten

dollars shall be charged for any license, authorized hereunder.
The proprietors or managers of theatres may take out a license
authorizing them to hold as many performances in a year as
they please, in one and the same building, and not more than
twenty-five dollars shall be charged for any such yearly license;
provided, that no performance, exhibition or amusement shall
be allowed in any theatre on Sunday.
CIDER PERMITS.

Cider permits
Proviso.
|
76. Every applicant to the Commissioners for a permit, as
required by law, to sell cider, shall, on receiving the same, pay
to the Town Clerk ahd Treasurer the sum of forty dollars, and
no permit shall be granted until said sum is paid; provided,
that this payment shall not exempt such applicants from
paying for the traders' license, or for the cider license to be
obtained from the Clerk of the Circuit Court, as already required
by law.
BOARDS OF HEALTH.

Boards of
health.

77. The Commissioners shall be and constitute the local
board of health for the town, and they shall be authorized to
form and appoint a sub-board of health, consisting of five
members, to assist them in the discharge of their duties. One
of the sub-board, at least, shall be a regular practicing physi-
cian, and a resident of Cambridge. The Commissioners may
provide by ordinance such measures as will enable the board
and sub-board of health to safeguard the health of the town.
