but it shall be the duty of said State Chemist to notify the
manufacturer, importer or dealer in writing, before reporting
same to State's Attorney, and give him not less than thirty days
thereafter in which to comply with the requirements of this sub-
title, but there shall be no prosecution in relation to the
quality of any concentrated commercial feeding stuff if the
same shall be found substantially equivalent to the certified
statement named in Section eighty-seven of this sub-title.

CHAPTER 288.
AN ACT to amend the Charter of Bethel Cemetery, as incor-
porated by Chapter five hundred and sixteen of the Laws
of eighteen hundred and forty -nine.

Incorporated.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That C. S. Ellison, Joshua Clayton, J. H. Brooks, J. R.
Kirk, John Davidson and J. S. Hopper and all others who are
now or hereafter may become owner or possessors of burial
lots in the cemetery aforesaid, be and they are hereby ordained
and declared to be a body politic and corporate by the name
and style of the Bethel Cemetery, and by that name and style
they and their successors and assigns shall and may have
continued succession and be capable to sue in any court or
courts of law and equity, to purchase, take, hold and enjoy,
in fee, the aforesaid lot or parcel of land, not exceed-
ing ten acres, goods, chattels and effects of every nature
and kind, which may be necessary to carry out the pur-
poses for which this incorporation is granted, and to sell
and convey burial lots therein, subject to the provisions of
this charter, and to such control over the same by this cor-
poration, as is herein reserved, and the said corporation may
have a common seal, ordain by-laws for its own government,
not repugnant to the laws and Constitution of the United
States or of this State, and shall enjoy all the franchises
incident to a corporation, but no banking powers, nor shall
the corporation have power to alien the lands aforesaid, or
any part thereof, nor to change or encumber the same, or any
part thereof, by judgments, mortgages or otherwise, except
as hereinbefore mentioned.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the businesss and
management of the corporation shall be done and conducted
by five directors, who shall be lotholders in said cemetery,
and shall be elected at annual meeting of the lot-owners,
