37. The Mayor and Common Council of Hyattsville shall
have all powers heretofore granted to the Commissioners of
Hyattsville, by any Act of Assembly not hereby expressly
repealed, and shall assume and be liable for all obligations
assumed by the Commissioners of Hyattsville, or heretofore
imposed by any Act of Assembly not herein expressly by
this Act, and the Commissioners of Hyattsville, now in
office, shall, until the qualification of a Mayor and Common
Council, exercise all the powers, and be liable for the per-
formance of all duties heretofore imposed; and all ordinances
heretofore passed, or that may be passed, by the Commis-
sioners of Hyattsville, in the meantime shall, until repealed
by the Mayor and Common Council, be of the same force and
effect as if adopted by the Mayor and Common Council.
SEC 38. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 258.
AN ACT to declare the sanction and consent of the General
Assembly of Maryland to the bequest contained in the last
will and testament of William R. Acton, late of Charles
County, deceased, of one hundred dollars, to and for the
use and benefit of the Vestry of Port Tobacco Parish, under
the name of the Vestry of St. Paul's (P. E.) Church.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the sanction and consent of the General Assembly
of Maryland be and the same is hereby declared given and
granted to the bequest of one hundred dollars to the Vestry
of Port Tobacco Parish, under the name of the Vestry of St.
Paul's (P. E.) Church, as contained in the last will and testa-
ment of William R. Acton, late of Charles County, deceased,
as recorded in the office of the Register of Wills for Charles
County.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT for the relief of the surety upon the official bonds
of William J. Blunt, late Collector of State Taxes for the
Fifth Election District of Queen Anne's County for the
years 1886 and 1887.
