unbaled straw and ear corn by the wagon load in Baltimore
City shall first obtain from the Clerk of the Court of Common
Pleas of Baltimore City a license therefor, and such license
shall have effect from the first day of June, in which it may
have been obtained, and such applicant shall at the time of
the issuing of such license pay the sum of fifty dollars; and
if any person, member of a firm or member of a corporation
shall engage in the business of huckstering, hawking or
peddling unbaled hay, unbaled straw or ear corn by wagon
load in Baltimore City, without first obtaining said license,
he shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be fined not
less than one hundred dollars, nor more than three hundred
dollars.

SEC. 2. Every person engaged in the selling of unbaled
hay, unbaled straw or ear corn by the wagon load on commis-
sion shall, on or before the first day of June in each year,
take out a license to engage in such business by application
to the Clerk of the Court of Common Pleas of Baltimore City,
and such applicant shall at the time of the issuing of such
license pay the sum of one hundred dollars; and if any per-
son, member of a firm or member of a corporation shall engage
or attempt to engage in the business of selling unbaled hay,
unbaled straw or ear corn by the wagon load on commission,
without first obtaining a license, as provided in this section,
he shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall be fined
not less than one hundred dollars, nor more than three hundred
dollars for each offense.

SEC. 3. Provided, however, that the aforegoing Sections one
and two shall not apply to growers and curers of hay, straw and
ear corn.

CHAPTER 250.
AN ACT to authorize and require the Board of the County
Commissioners of Carroll County to pay to the Mayor and
Council of Hampstead, a body corporate in the county
aforesaid, one-half of the amount of the road taxes levied
and collected from all the property within the corporate
limits of the town of Hampstead, in said county.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of County Commissioners of Carroll
County shall pay annually to the Mayor and Council of
