by them in each year to the said county school commissioners
for school purposes a. sufficient amount to pay the interest
due on all said bonds which may be outstanding, and after
the year 1904 to retain from said sum or sums so apportioned
and appropriated the further sum of one thousand dollars to
pay on the principal sum of said indebtedness.

SEC. 5. And be it further enacted , That said County Com-
missioners shall cause to be prepared the bonds hereinbefore
directed to be issued, so that the same may be open to the
inspection of the public, on or before the day fixed for the sale
of the same, and they shall also cause the said county treas-
urer to keep a record of the issue of said bonds containing
amount of bond, date of issue and when payable.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage

CHAPTER 243.

AN ACT to authorize the Board of Police Commissioners of
Baltimore City to increase the pension of John Steindle,
retired policeman of the Police Force of Baltimore City

Public may
inspect bonds.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the Board of Police Commissioners for the City
of Baltimore be and they are hereby authorized and directed
to pay to John Steindle, a retired policeman of the Police Force
of Baltimore City, out of the fund in hand of said Board of
Police Commissioners, known and accounted for as the special
fund, the sum of twelve dollars per week for his life, in lieu
of the sum of six dollars per week now paid to the said John
"Steindle by said Board of Police Commissioners, under and
by authority of an Act of the General Assembly of Maryland,
Chapter four hundred and fifty-nine, Laws of Maryland,
eighteen hundred and eighty -six, entitled an "Act to define a
fund of money now in the hands or which, under existing
laws, may come into the hands of the Board of Police Com-
missioners for the City of Baltimore, and to provide for its
application;" approved April 7, eighteen hundred and eighty -
six.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.
