or transporting or having the same sent or transported beyond
the limits of said county, under a penalty of not less than five
nor more than twenty-five dollars for each and every violation
of this section; provided, that nothing herein contained shall
prevent the barter and sale of such game for home consump-
tion only by and between residents of said county within the
limits of said county.

Shall not hunt
foxes except
at certain
times.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That it shall be unlawful to
hunt for foxes, or pursue them with dogs between March 10th
and November 1st in each and every year; and any person
violating this section shall be deemed guilty of a misde-
meanor, and be subject to a fine of not less than five and not
more than twenty-five dollars for each and every offense.

Fines and
penalties.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That all violations of the pro-
visions of the various sections of this Act shall be deemed
misdemeanors, and the fines and penalties imposed thereby
shall be collected by prosecutions before any justice of the
peace for Somerset County, with right of appeal to the Circuit
Court thereof, and the defendant or defendants in such prose-
cutions, in default of the payment of said fines and penalties,
shall be committed to jail for thirty days; and all fines col-
lected, by said court or any justice of the peace for said county,
upon prosecutions as aforesaid, shall be paid in full to the
party who informs against the offender or offenders and
secures his or their conviction; but all money received by the
clerk of the Circuit Court as license fees from non-residents
shall be turned over to the school fund of said county.

SEC. 12. And be it enacted, That it shall be the duty of any
constable of said county, or game warden thereof, to arrest
any person or persons violating any of the provisions of this
Act.

SEC. 13. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 204.
AN ACT to pay the School Commissioners of Garrett County
a sum of money out of the State school-tax.

WHEREAS, In view of the pressure of the present appor-
tionment specially upon Garrett County of the State school-
fund, and her inability, without large increase of county
taxation, to keep open her schools for more than four or five
