effects, securities, mortgages, loans, certificates of indebted-
ness, stocks of corporations, individual, firm or corporation,
notes or bonds.

Storage of
merchandise,
etc.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That said company may receive
upon storage, depositor otherwise, merchandise, specie, plate,
bullion, stock, promissory notes, certificates and evidences of
debts, contracts and other personal property, and advance
money thereon, on such terms as may be established or
approved by said company, or agreed upon, and in all cases in
which public officers, or municipal or private corporations are
authorized to deposit money, stocks, bonds or evidences of
debt, such deposiis may be made with said company.

Power to
guarantee,
become
surety, etc.

SEC 9. And be it enacted, That said company shall have
power to guarantee, endorse and become surety upon and for
the payment and punctual performance of notes, debts, con-
tracts, bills of exchange, bonds, accounts, claims, rents,
annuities, mortgages, evidences of debt, checks, and titles to
property, indebtedness of individuals, companies, partner-
ships, loans of States, cities, towns, counties and municipal-
ities, bonds of trustees in deeds or wills, or trustees, receivers
or other fiduciaries under orders or decrees of court, bonds of
administrators, executors, guardian, committees, and all other
bonds required by law to be given by any officer, fiduciary,
individual, firm or corporation, upon such terms or commis-
sions as may be agreed upon between said company and the
parties dealing therewith .

trustee,
execute trusts,
etc.

SEC. 10. And be it enacted, That said company be and it is
hereby authorized to act as trustee under any mortgage or
bond issued by any municipality or corporation or individual,
and accept and execute any other municipal or corporate trust,
and to accept and execute trusts of any and every description
as fully as a natural person could, which may be committed
to it by any person or corporation, or by any court in the
State of Maryland, in the United States, or in any one of the
United States, and to accept and execute the office and ap-
pointments of executor or administrator or trustee of any
kind or nature, whenever such appointment is conferred or
made by any person or by any Orphans' Court or other court,
either of this or other States, or of the United States.

Court may
appoint as
trustee,
receiver, etc.

SEC. 11. And be it enacted, That in all cases where appli-
cation shall be made to any court in this State, or any other
State, or of the United States, for the appointment of any
receiver, trustee, administrator, assignee, guardian of minors,
