addition as may be required to pay or redeem said bonds as
the same mature from time to time until all said bonds shall
have been paid.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the proceeds of the sale of
the said bonds shall be paid over to the Commissioner herein-
after to be named, to be used and applied by said Commis-
sion exclusively in the purchase of a suitable site of such
quantity of land as said Commission may deem necessary and
in the building and equipping of a public school-house in
Chestertown; and said proceeds shall be paid out for the pur-
poses mentioned in this Act under the discretion and control
of said Commission, and upon the written order of a majority
of said Commission.

SEC. 5. And be it enacted, That immediately upon the sale
of the bonds provided for by this Act, the Commission here-
inafter named shall proceed to secure a proper site and plans
for the building of said school-house; and after the secure-
ment and adoption of proper plans and specifications, said
Commission shall advertise at least once a week, for four suc-
cessive weeks, in two newspapers published in Chestertown,
for bids for the construction of said school-house, and they
shall award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder, who
will enter into contract and execute a sufficient bond with
approved security for the erection and completion of said
school-house; the said Commission, however, to have full
power in their discretion to reject any and all bids, and to
advertise for other bids.

SEC. 6. And be it enacted, That the said Commission, here-
inafter to be named, shall have the power to have condemned
such quantity of land as they may deem necessary in order
to carry out the provisions of this Act under the provisions
of Sections two hundred and forty-eight to two hundred and
fifty-three, both inclusive, of Article 23, title "Corporations,"
of the Code of Public General Laws of this State.

SEC. 7. And be it enacted, That Wilbur Elierson, John K,
Aldridge, James W.Lambert, William B. Usilton and Milbourn
A. Toalson be and they are hereby created and constituted a
Commission for the purpose of carrying into effect the pro-
visions of this Act relating to the selection of a site, and to
the building- and equipping of said' school-house with all the
power and discretion hereinbefore mentioned.

SEC. 8. And be it enacted, That said Commission, before
purchasing a site and contracting for the building of said
school-house, may set aside and reserve out of said twenty
thousand dollars such sum as they may deem necessary for
