LAWS OF MARYLAND:.

rights and franchises granted to the Washington & Chesa-
peake Beach Railway Company by Chapter two hundred and
forty-five of the Acts of eighteen hundred and ninety-four,
entitled an "Act to Incorporate the Town of Chesapeake
Beach, in Calvert County," be and the same is hereby
repealed.

Repealed and
re-enacted.

SEC. 2. B e it further enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter two hundred and forty-five of the Laws
of eighteen hundred and ninety-four, entitled an "Act to
Incorporate the Town of Chesapeake Beach, in Calvert
County," be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
with amendments, so as to read as follows:

Corporation.
Commis'rs of
Chesapeake
Beach.

1. Be it enacted, That the inhabitants of Chesapeake Beach,
in Calvert County, Maryland, be and they are hereby incor-
porated and created a corporation under the name and style of
"The Commissioners of Chesapeake Beach , " and by that name
shall have perpetual succession, sue and be sued, plead and be
impleaded, in any court of law or equity whatsoever; may pur-
chase and hold real, personal and mixed property, and may
sell and convey the same for the benefit of said town, and;
may have and use a common seal, and the same alter ati
pleasure.

Boundary
limits.

2. And be it enacted, That the boundary limits of said town
of Chesapeake Beach shall be as follows : Beginning at a point
thirty-two hundred and fifty feet north of the mouth of Fishing
Creek, and running thence due west three hundred and twelve
poles; thence south three hundred and twelve poles; thence
west one hundred and fifty-six poles; thence south three hun-
dred and twelve poles; thence due east three "hundred and
twenty poles; thence due south nine hundred and sixty poles;
thence due east to the Chesapeake Bay; thence north along
the shore of Chesapeake Bay to the place of beginning.

Number of
Commis'rs.

Duties.

3. And be it enacted, That the Commissioners of Chesapeake
Beach shall be seven in number, and shall elect on the first Mon-
day in May of each year, and until the first Monday in May,
1900, the Commissioners now in office shall continue to act as
such, with all the powers, obligations and duties conferred or
imposed upon Commissioners of Chesapeake Beach by this
Act. Any four of said Commissioners shall constitute a
quorum for the transaction of business. The Commissioners
shall meet on the second Monday in May of each year, and
take the oath of office to support and maintain the Constitu-
tion and laws of the United States and of the State of Mary-
land, and to perform the duties of their offices as Commis-
