Appropriation
for support of
the State
government.
|
AN ACT making appropriations for the support of the State
Government for the fiscal year ending on the thirtieth day
of September, nineteen hundred and two.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the Genet al Assembly of Mary-
land, That for the expenditures in the support of the State
Government for the fiscal year beginning with the first day of
October, nineteen hundred and one, and ending with the thir-
tieth day of September, nineteen hundred and two, the fol-
lowing sums of money, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
be and the same are hereby appropriated, that is to say:
FOR STATE OFFICERS.

For state
officers.

For the salary of the Governor, four thousand and five hun-
dred dollars; for the salary of the Secretary of State, two thou-
sand dollars; for the salary of the Messenger of the Governor,
one thousand dollars; for the salary of the Comptroller of the
Treasury, two thousand and five hundred dollars; .for the
salary of the Chief Clerk to the Comptroller, eighteen hun-
dred dollars; for the salaries of two Assistant Clerks to the
Comptroller, fifteen hundred dollars each, three thousand dol-
lars; for the salaries of two Assistant Clerks to the Comp-
troller, twelve hundred dollars each, two thousand and four
hundred dollars; for the salary of the Treasurer of the State,
two thousand and five hundred dollars; for the salary of the
Chief Clerk to the Treasurer, eighteen hundred dollars; for
the salaries of two Assistant Clerks to the Treasurer, twelve
hundred dollars each, two thousand and four hundred dollars;
for the salary of two Clerks to the State Tax Commissioner,
twelve hundred dollars each, two thousand and four hundred
dollars; for the salary of the State Librarian, fifteen hundred
dollars; for the salary of the Commissioner of the Land Office,
fifteen hundred dollars; for the salary of one Clerk to the
Commissioner of the Land Office, twelve hundred dollars.

For the salaries of the chief judges of the first seven judi-
cial circuits, four thousand and five hundred dollars each,
thirty-one thousand and five hundred dollars; for the salaries
of fourteen associate judges of the first seven judicial cir-
cuits, three thousand six hundred dollars each, fifty thousand
and four hundred dollars; for the salaries of the judges of the
Court of Appeals from Baltimore City, and of the chief judge
and eight associate justices of the Supreme Bench of Balti-
