more for the same purpose, and upon like conditions and
limitations as in said will fully set forth.

Legalizing
bequests.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That each one of the said
several corporations of the State, designated in such manner as
is set forth in the first section of this Act by the testator
therein named, shall receive and enjoy any gifts, devises or
bequests to it in his aforesaid last will and testament con-
tained upon the conditions therein mentioned as fully and to
the same effect as if said gift, devise or bequest had been
made to it by its said several corporations shall be able and
entitled to show if necessary that they are respectively those
so designated as hereinbefore set forth by the said testator.

SEC. 3. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 715.

AN ACT to repeal Sub-section two of Chapter two hundred
and twenty-four of the Acts of the General -Assembly of
Maryland, as passed at the January Session, eighteen hun-
dred and ninety-six, and to re-enact the same, with amend-
ments, so as to prohibit the catching of crabs with scoops,
scrapes, drags, dredges or similar instruments above a certain
line in the waters of Fishing Bay, and to provide a penalty
therefor by adding a new section.

Dorchester Co.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Sub-section two of Chapter two hundred and
twenty-four of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, as passed at the January Session, eighteen hundred and
ninety-six, be and the same is hereby repealed and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:

Clerk may
license bona
fide residents
to catch crabs
with scrapes,
etc., in certain
waters.

Sub-sec. 2. The Clerk of the Circuit Court for Dorchester
County shall, upon application of any owner, who has been a
bona-fide resident of said county for the term of twelve
months next preceding such application, and to no other
person, issue a license to such owner to employ his boat,
canoe or vessel in taking and catching crabs with scrapes,
drags, dredges or similar instruments in the waters of Dor-
chester County, the Great Choptank River and the waters of

Proviso.

Fishing Bay above a straight line drawn from Bishop's Head
Point to the lower end of Clay Island excepted; provided said
boat, canoe or vessel has been owned in whole by residents of
