SEC. 17. And be it further enacted, That said body corpor-
ate is hereby made subject to the provisions of each of chap-
ters 109 and 278 of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, passed at the January Session of eighteen hundred and
ninety-two, and all amendments and supplements thereto.

SEC. 18. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 695.
AN ACT to extend the privilege, enlarge the powers, amend
and ratify the charter of the Exchange and Savings Bank
of Berlin, Maryland.

WHEREAS, The Exchange and Savings Bank of Berlin,
Maryland, was duly incorporated on the twenty-fourth day of
August, in the year eighteen hundred and ninety-nine, as a sav-
ings institution under provisions of the General Laws of this
State in relation to the creation and regulation of incorporated
companies in the State of Maryland, with a capital stock of
twenty-five thousand dollars, divided into two hundred and
fifty shares, with the privilege of increasing its capital stock
at any time by the shareholders according to the provisions
of law, and is desirous of extending the privileges and enlarge
the powers of the said corporation, as will appear by certifi-
cate dated the twenty-fourth day of August, in the year
eighteen hundred and ninety-nine, and recorded in the incor-
poration records of Worcester County, Maryland, in Liber
F. H. P., No. 2, folios 29, 30 and 31.

Preamble.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the charter of the Exchange and Savings Bank of
Berlin, Maryland, as it appears by its certificate of incorpora-
tion dated the twenty-fourth day of August, in the year
eighteen hundred and ninety-nine, recorded among the incor-
poration records of said Worcester County, in Liber F. H.
P., No. 2, folios 29, 30 and 31, be and the same is hereby
ratified and confirmed, and the shareholders thereof are hereby
declared a body corporate under the name and style of
Exchange and Savings Bank of Berlin, Maryland.
