therein, which said tools, implements, machinery, apparatus
or engines shall be actually employed and used in the busi-
ness of manufacturing in said county.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 687.
AN ACT to add two new sections to be designated as 157 A
and 157B to the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Allegany
County," sub-title "Frostburg."

Frostburg.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That two new sections be added to Article i of the
Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland, title "Allegany
County," sub-title "Frostburg," to be designated as Sections
157 A and 157B, to read as follows:

Bailiff or police
shall not enter
saloons with
out cause.

Sec. 157A. That it shall be unlawful for the bailiff, night
police, or any one acting for or as a special police, to enter
any saloon while on duty unless he shall hear noises or dis-
turbances in any saloon in said town of Frostburg, then it
shall be his duty to enter the place and arrest all concerned
in riotous conduct, and have dealt with according to law.

Penalty for
violation.

Sec. 157B. Any officer violating the aforegoing section shall
be fined by the Mayor five dollars, and for second offense may
be dismissed from office, and his place filled by the Mayor
and Councilmen for the remainder of his term: if he should
deny the charges he shall be given a trial before the Mayor
and Councilmen, and their verdict shall be final, it taking
five votes to render a verdict; any fine that shall be imposed
may be deducted from the salary of the officers so offending
or collected as other fines are collected.

SEC. 2. Be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect from
the date of its passage.

AN ACT to incorporate "The Armor-Bowen Company."

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Grant Armor, Frederick W. MacLeven Patterson,
William A. Bowen, and their associates and succe sors, and
all other such persons as shall hereafter become stockholders in
