for the same from some suitable point south of Wicomico
street, in said Ocean City, above high-water mark, and shall
have power to construct on this pier such appliances for
amusement or use as the said incorporators may determine,
and to charge for the use of this pier or appliances such sums
of money as the directors of said company shall from time to
time see proper to charge; and shall have power to survey,

locate, establish, construct and maintain in Worcester County,
as hereinafter mentioned, a double track or single track rail-
way, with as many sets of tracks, switches, turn-outs and sid-
ings as said company shall deem expedient or proper for the
transportation and carriage of passengers, produce, stock,
freight, merchandise, parcels and packages in cars drawn or
propelled by electricity in any form, or by compressed air, or
by any other improved form of motive power, and either sepa-
rately or in trains, and shall have full power and right to
erect and maintain all motors, poles, conduits, trenches, wires.

purposes; and shall have further power to build bridges, de-,
pots, stations, machinery, power-houses, car-barns and all ap-
purtenances to said railway, and all switches leading to and
from the same, and all necessary turn-outs and connections in
said county, and to charge for the carriage and conveyance of
persons and property on said railway such sums of money
as the directors of said company shall from time to time
see proper to charge, and the course and route of the
said railway shall be as follows: The said railway shall
begin within the corporate limits of Ocean City, and shall
run north and south from such points of beginning, the
northern terminus to be at or near Fenwick's Island Light-
house, in Worcester County, and the southern terminus to be
at or near North Beach Life-Saving Station, in Worcester
County, and for that purpose, if necessary or expedient, to
cross any public or private road, wherever the line of said
railway may intersect the same, and for that purpose to exer-

cise, if necessary, the powers of condemnation hereinafter
contained; provided, nevertheless, that the said company shall
obtain the consent to construct so much of its said railway,
as may be located on any of the public highways of Worcester
County, from the County Commissioners of Worcester County,
which consent said County Commissioners of said county are
hereby authorized to give to the said company; provided, also,
that said company shall have the right to cross at grade, or
by, over or under crossings, or join or connect its railway
with any other railway company; and, provided also, that the
said company may, and power is hereby given to it, to con-
