AN ACT to change the hours for opening the polling places
in the several election districts of Calvert County, and
directing the judges of election to begin the election and
open the polls at six o'clock in the morning at each polling
place in the several election districts, and shall be kept
open until six o'clock in the afternoon of the same day.

Preamble.
|
WHEREAS, the time now fixed by law for opening the poll-
ing places in the several election districts of Calvert County
prove insufficient to accommodate the voters now living in
those districts; now, therefore,

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That the polling places in the several election districts
of Calvert County shall be opened by the judges of election at
six o'clock in the morning at each election to be hereafter
held in Calvert County, and shall be kept open until six
o'clock in the afternoon of the same day, at which time the
polls shall be closed.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That all Acts and parts of Acts
inconsistent with the provisions of this Act be and the same
are repealed.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take effect
from the date of its passage.

AN ACT to repeal and re-enact with amendments Chapter
two hundred and eighty-five of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at January Session of
eighteen hundred and ninety.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of Mary-
land, That Chapter two hundred and eighty-five of the Acts
of eighteen hundred and ninety, entitled "An act to authorize
the sheriff of Garrett County to employ a warden for the
county jail of said county" be and the same is hereby repealed
and re-enacted so as to read as follows :

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Garrett County be and they are hereby author-
ized and empowered to employ some suitable person as warden
to the county jail of Garrett County whenever a prisoner or
