By Mr. Williams, of Harford,
A bill entitled "An Act to authorize certain Mutual
Fire Insurance Companies of the State of Maryland, to
reinsure in other companies the whole or part of risks
assumed by said Mutual Fire Insurance Companies."
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Insurance and Loans.
By Mr. Dick,
A bill entitled "An Act to repeal sections 211, 213, 214,
215 and 216 of Article 1, of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland, title ‘Allegany County,' sub-title
‘Roads,' and to re-enact said sections 211, 212, 213 and
214 with amendments."
Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Dick, Rohrback and Ravenscroft.
By Mr. Crothers,
A bill entitled "An Act to add a new section to Article
81 of the Code of Public General Laws, title ‘Revenue
and Taxes,' to follow section 201, as enacted by chapter
143 of the Acts of 1896, to be designated ‘Section 201
A."
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Finance.

A bill entitled "An Act to amend section 6, section 7,
section 8 of the Constitution of this State."
Which was read the first time and referred to the
Committee on Con stitutional Amendments.

A bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore, to issue its certificate of stock
to an amount not exceeding $5,000,000 for the purpose of
providing the money to pa.y at the time of doing the
work, the portion of the costs and expenses of grading
paving and kurbing the streets, lanes and alleys of the
city of Baltimore, assessable upon the property benefited
thereby, and for the re-imbursement of the city of Bal-
timore, in respect thereto out of the money derived from
said assessments."
