Mr. Applegarth submitted the following message:
BY THE SENATE,
January 18th, 1900.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We propose, with the concurrence of your Honorable
Body, the appointment of a Joint Special Committee, to
consist of five members, three of the House and two on
the part of the Senate, whose duty it shall be to corres-
pond with the General Assembly of Virginia, or commit-
tee thereof, for the purpose of having enacted concurrent
legislation on the part of Maryland and Virginia, relative
to fish and oysters in the Chesapeake Bay and its tribu-
taries.
We have appointed on the part of the Senate Messrs.
Applegarth and *ilkinson.

Which was read, assented to and sent to the House of
Delegates.
The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and de-
livered the following message
BY THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,
January 18th, 1900.
Gentlemen of the Senate:
We have received your message proposing that when
the General Assembly adjourns to-day, it stands ad-
journed until 8 P. M., Monday next, and we concur
therein.
