1900.] OP THE SENATE. Senate bill entitled "An Act to authorize and empower the County Commissioners of Frederick county to issue bonds bearing interest at a rate not to exceed three and one -half per centum per annum, to obtain money to redeem the sixty-five thousand dollars of bonds, bearing interest at four per centum per annum, issued by said county commissioners under the Act of the General Assembly of Maryland, passed at the session of 1884, chapter 494, and also to redeem the one hundred and twenty-three thousand and. seven hundred dollars of bonds, bearing interest at four per centum per annum, issued by said county commissioners under the Act of the General As- sembly of Maryland, passed at the session of 1886, chap- ter 239, both of which issues of bonds are now redeem- able and may be paid by said county commissioners and to authorize and empower the said county commissioners to levy and collect the necessary taxes for the payment of the bonds authorized to be issued and. the interest thereon." Being on its third reading, On motion of Mr. Rohrback, Said bill was recommitted to the Select Committee. Senate bill entitled. "An Act to pay Harry T. Levely for work done in the office of the Land Commissioner in indexing the Ancient Records of Charles county, now in the Land Commissioner's office." Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Gray, Applegarth, Kirwan, Baker, Marsh, Beasman, Moore, Betts, Moses, Bryan, Putzel, Dennis, Röhrback, Dick, Williams, of Har., Dodson, Williams, of A. A. —18. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. |
