Mr. Peter named Alfred Ritter.
Mr. Putzel named Oscar L. Quinlan.
Mr. Ravenscroft named Oscar L. Quinlan.
Mr. Rohrbach named Alfred Ritter.
Mr. Wilkinson named Oscar L. Quinlan.
Mr. Williams, of Harford, named Oscar L. Quinlan.
Mr. Williams, of Anne Arundel, named Alfred Ritter.
The President announced that there were 24 votes, of
which Mr Ritter received 14 votes and Mr. Quinlan re-
ceived 10 votes. Mr. Ritter having received a majority
of all the votes cast, was duly elected Secretary of the
Senate. Mr. Ritter was qualified by the President and.
entered upon the discharge of his duties.
Mr. Moses submitted the following:
Ordered by the Senate, That the officers of the Senate
for the present shall be as follows:
Journal Clerk, Richd. H. Worthington, of Baltimore
city.
Reading Clerk, Robert Moss, of Anne Arundel county.
Chief Engrossing Clerk, Samuel J. Bell, of Carroll
county.
Sergeant-at-Arms, Sidney P. Jump, of Queen Anne's
county.
Doorkeeper, Thomas Berney, of Baltimore city.
Assistant doorkeepers, Sidney L. Trader, of Wicomico,
and Charles T. Radcliffe, of Howard. county.
Postmaster, William L. Harper, of Queen Anne's
county.
Assistant Postmaster,
Keeper of the Cloak Room, John Bitner, of Washing-
ton county.
Assistant keeper of Cloak Room, George S. Dove, of
Prince George's county.
Janitor, Frank L. Hancock, of Anne Arundel county.
Folders, Henry Bell, of Worcester county, George W.
Williams, of Cecil county and Michael V. McNamara, of
Baltimore city.
