The Secretary of State appeared and delivered a mes- sage from the Executive. At 9.55 P. M,, On motion of Mr. Putzel, The Senate adjourned until Friday, March 9th, at 10.30 A.M. FRIDAY, March, 9th, 1900. The Senate met at 10.30 M. Prayer by the Rev. Father Kautz. Present at the roll call the following Senators: Messrs. President, Applegarth, Baker, Beasman, Betts Bouic, Crothers, Dennis, Dick, Dod son, Gray, Marsh, Mes- sick, Moore, Moses, Peter, Rohrback, Wilkinson, Wil- liams, of Harford—20. The Journal of Thursday was read and approved. PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS. The President presented a petition from members of the Fourth Methodist Protestant Church at Waverly, asking for the passage of general local option law.
