eral Assembly of Maryland, 1898, chapter 123, being Art-
icle 4, of the Code of Public Laws, title ‘Baltimore City,'
sub-title ‘Charter relating to collection of Taxes."

A bill entitled "An Act to aut-horize and empower the
County Commissioners of Prederick county to issue bonds
beariug interest at a rate not to exceed three and one
half per centum per annum, to obtain money to redeem
the sixty-five thousand dollars of bonds, bearing interest
at four per.centum per annum, issued by said county
commissioners under the Act of the General Assembly of
Maryland, passed at the session of 1884, chapter 494,
and also to redeem the one hundred and twenty-three
thousand and seven hundred dollars of bonds, bearing
interest at four per centum per annum, issued by said
county commissioners under the Act of the General As-
sembly of Maryland, passed at the session of 1886, chap-
ter 239, both of which issues of bonds are now redeem-
able and may be paid by said county commissioners and
to authorize and empower the said county commissioners
to levy and collect the necessary taxes for the payment
of the bonds authorized to be issued and the interest
thereon."
Which was read the first time and and referred to
Senators Rohrback, Betts and Dick.

A bill entitled "An Act to refund to the Gaithershurg
Milling and Manufacturing Company of Montgomery
county, certain sums of money erroneously paid by the
said company into the State Treasury for taxes for the
years 1894, 1895. and 1896."

mittee on Finance.

County Commissioners of Montgomery county to levy a
