Mr. Crothers submitted the following message:
BY THE SENATE,
January 11th, 1900.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:
We have received your message, proposing the ap-
pointment of a committee of five, two on the part of the
Senate and three on the part of the House of Delegates,
to wait on the Honorable Murray Vandiver, the Treas-
urer-elect, and inform him of his election, and respect-
fully concur therein.
• We have appointed on the part of the Senate Messrs.
Crothers and Williams, of Harford.

REPORT OF SELECT COMMITTEES.
Mr. Bouic, from Select Committee, reported favorably,
Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 3, of chap-
ter 497, of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary-
land, session of 1898, entitled "An Act to authorize and
direct the County Commissioners of Anne Arundel
County to build a bridge over Curtis creek, and also to
build a bridge over Cabin branch, a tributary of said Cur-
tis creek, and to provide by the issuance of bonds the
means of building the same, and making the said bridges
free for public travel."
Which was read the second time, and ordered engrossed.
