500 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar.2 Senate bill No. 138, entitled "An Act to incorporate the Finance Company of Maryland." AMENDMENT PROPOSED. After section 8, add an additional section to be known as ‘Section 9,' so as to read as follows : "And be it fur- ther enacted, that the General Assembly of Maryland, reserves the right to repeal, alter, change or amend this Act at its pleasure." Which proposed amendment was adopted. FURTHER AMENDMENTS PROPOSED. By Mr. Putzel, Amend section 7 by striking out lines 21 to 28, inclu- sive,, and inserting instead thereof the following words: "kind not contrary to law with any individual form, as- sociation or corporation or for the rearrangement or con- struction of any building or buildings, or any work or works which may tend or be designed to improve or in- crease." Amend line 34 of sect.ion 7 by striking out the word "franchises." Which proposed amendments were severally adopted. And the bill was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for a third leading. On motion of Mr. Peter, Said bill was recommitted to the Committee on Cor- porations. The President distributed the following message from the House of Delegates: House bill entitled "An Act to apprpriate the sum of $200 to King Bros., to pay them for extra printing done by them for the General Assembly at the session of 1898, and not included in the contract as State Printer."
