578 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 1 Senate bill entitled "An Act to authorize and empower the Mayor and City Council of Laurel to borrow money on the credit of said town for the purpose of construct- ing water works for said town, do necessary drainage, and purchase, construct or erect an electric lighting and power plant, to issue bonds for the payment of the same and to levy taxes on the assessable property of said town, to redeem the said bonds and pay the interest thereon." Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Marsh, Applegarth, Moses, Betts. Peter, Bouic, Putzel, Brewington, Rohrback, Bryan, Wilkinson, Dennis, Williams, of Har., Dodson, Williams, of A. A. Kirwan, —17. NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then sent to the House of Delegates. Senate bill No. 10, entitled "An Act to repeal and re- enact with amendments section 116, of Article 16, of the Code of Public General Laws of Maryland, title ‘Chan- cery, sub-title ‘Partition.' Was read the third time and passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. President, Kirwan, Applegarth, Marsh, Baker, Moses, Betts, Peter, Bouic, Putzel, Brewington, Wilkinson, Crothers, Williams, of Har., Dodson, Williams, of A. A., —16. NEGATIVE—None.
