472 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 1 Mr. Beasman, from Select Committee, reported favor- ably, House bill entitled "An Act to provide for an addition- al Justice of the Peace in and for the Eighth Election District of Carroll county." Which was read the second time. Mr. Bryan, from Committee on Library, reported fav- orably the following resolution, Resolved, That the Legislature of the State of Mary- land, heartily approving this movement, hereby directs the State Librarian to donate to the Winnie Davis School of History a copy of each and every historical publication issued by authority of the State of Maryland. Which was read the second time. ORDER OF THE DAY. The hour having arrived, The Senate considered the Order of the Day, being Senate bill No. 17, entitled "An' Act to accurately re- establish the boundary line between the State of Mary- land and the State of Pennsylvania, commonly called Mason and Dixon's line, and to remark the same wherever necessary with suitable monuments, and to make appro- priation therefor." On motion of Mr. Williams, of Harford, Said bill was recommitted to the Committee on Finance. The Secretary of State appeared and delivered a mes- sage from the Executive. SECOND ORDER OF THE DAY. The hour having arrived, The Senate considered the Second Order of tIme Day, being Senate bill No. 104, entitled "An Act to appropriate the sum of $50,000 for the year 1900, and the sum of $50,000 for the year 1901, to the John's Hopkins University," |
