444 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 28 Also, favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments, sections 18 and 19 of Article 42, of the Code of Public General Laws, title ‘Habeas Corpus,' sub-title ‘Procedure in Relation to Minors." Which was read the second time. Also, favorably. House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments, section 6. of Article 52, of the Code of Pub- lic General Laws of the State of Maryland, title ‘Justices of the Peace.'" On motion of Mr. Putzel, Said bill was re-committed to the Committee on Ju- dicial Proceedings. Mr. Crothers, from Committee on Finance, reported favorably, Senate bill No. 165, entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of money to pay the claim of William J. C. Dulany Company for stationery furnished the General Assembly of Maryland of 1898, the. Executive Department, Court of Appeals and State Library for 1898, the Executive Department, Court of Appeals and State Library for 1899, and the General Assembly of Maryland of 1900." Which was read the second time and ordered to be en- grossed for a third reading. Mr. Crothers, from Committee on Finance, report- ed favorably, with proposed amendments, Senate Joint Resolution in regard to Maryland and Virginia boundary along the Potomac river. AMENDMENTS PROPOSED. In the 16th line of the last page of the original Joint Resolution, after the word "session," insert the words "the Comptroller." Also, In the 18th line, on the last page of the original Joint Resolution, after the words "sum of," insert the follow- ing, "one thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, upon the filing or production by the said com- mittee with proper receipts or vouchers." |
