1900.]OF THE SENATE. 401 NIGHT SESSION. WEDNESDAY, Feb. 21st, 1900. The senate resumed session at 8 P. M. Present at roll call the following Senators: Messrs. President, Appiegarth, Baker, Beasman, Bouic, Brewington, Crothers, Dennis, Dodson, Gray, Kirwan, Marsh, Moses, Peter, Putzel, Ravenscroft, Rohrback, Williams, of Harford, Williams, of Anne Arundel—19. Mr. Crothers submitted the following message: BY THE SENATE, February 21st, 1900. -Gentlemen of the House of Delegates: We propose with the concurrence of your Honorable Body that when the two houses adjourn to-day that they stand adjourned until Monday night, February 26th, 1900, at 8 o'clock, P. M. By order, ALFRED RITTER, Secretary. Which was read, assented to, and sent to time House of Delegates. PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS. Mr. Putzel presented a petition of 17 Maryland archi- tects, asking that the selection of an architect for the proposed new Court of Appeals building be made only after competition open to all Maryland architects. Which was read and referred to the Committee on Finance. Mr. Rohrback presented a petition from Joseph Hopp and 200 other residents of Frederick county, asking that the Legislature enact no laws appropriating large sums of money to institutions not owned by the State. 26 |
