1900.] OF THE SENATE. 391 the ‘Amended Charter to the town of Oakland,' granting to the Mayor and Town Council of Oakland, additional powers to operate an electric light plant or to contract for the operation of the same, and to grant franchises to corporations or individuals within the corporate limits of the town of Oakland, and to be known as ‘Sections 196 A, 196 B, 196 C." Which was read the second time, and ordered to he engrossed for a third reading. Also, favorably, Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 85, of Article 12, of the Code of Public Local Laws; title ‘Gar- rett County,' sub-title ‘Deer Park,' and to re-enact the same with amendments." Which was read the second time and ordered to be en- grossed for a third reading. Mr. Applegarth, from Select Committee, reported favor ably, * Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact with amendments, section 83, of Article 19, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘St. Mary's County,' sub-title Oysters.' Which was read the second time and ordered to be en- grossed for a third reading. THIRD ORDER OF THE DAY. The hour of 1 P. M., having arrived, The Senate considered the Third Order of the Day, being Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal chapter 501, of the Acts of 1898, title ‘Revenue and Taxes,' and re-enact the same with amendments." On motion of Mr. Bouic, Said bill was recommitted to the Committee on Judi- cial Proceedings.
