NIGHT SESSiON.

MONDAY, Feb. 19th, 1900.

The Senate met at 8 P. M.

Prayer by the Rev. Mr. Winstead.

Present at the roll call the following Senators
Messrs. President, Applegarth, Baker, Beasman, Betts,
Bouic, Brewington, Bryan, Crothors, Dick, Kirwan,
Marsh, Messick, Moore, Moses, Peter, Rohrback, Wil-
kinson, Williams, of Harford, Williams, of Anne Arundel
—20.
The Journal of Friday, was read and approved.


At 8.10 P. M.
On motion of Mr. Williams, of Harford,

The Senate took a recess for the purpose of giving a
public hearing to the representatives of the United Rail-
ways and Electric Company of Baltimore city."


At 9.15 P. M.,
The Senate resumed its session.


PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.
President Hubner presented a petition from Jas. L.
Cain and 40 others, protesting against any change in the
present Sunday law.
Also,
A petition from Thos. M. Thomas and 50 others, pro-
testing against any change in the present Sunday law.
Also,
A petition from J. M. Yingling and 110 others, against
any change in the present Sunday law.
Also,
A protest from the members of Faith Baptist Church
against any change in the present Sunday law.
