Mr. Moore, from Committee on Corporations, reported
favorably,
Senate bill No. 86, entitled "An Act to enlarge the
powers and privileges of the New York, Philadelphia
& Norfolk Railroad Company."

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

By Mr. Rohrback,
After the word "rights” in line 12, of the printed bill,
insert the words "privileges and immunities."
Which proposed amendment was adopted.

FURTHER AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

By Mr. Moses,
Strike out all after the word "consolidating” in the
17th line in the first section of the printed bill, and add
the following, after the said word
"Provided, that nothing in this Act contained shall
be construed to exempt from taxation any of the prop-
erty or franchises of the consolidatad company, or of any
of the constituent companies, or to confer upon the con-
solidated company, or upon any of the constituent com-
panies, any rights, privileges or immunities, inconsistent
with the Constitution and laws of this State."
