President, Marsh, Baker, Messick, Betts, Moore, Bouic, Moses, Brewington, Peter, Bryan, Putzel, Crothers, Ravenscroft, Dennis, Rohrback. Dick, Williams, of Har., Dodson, Williams, of A. A., Gray, —23. Kirwan, NEGATIVE—None. Said bill was then returned to the House of Delegates. Mr. Moore, from Committee on Corporations, reported unfavorably, Senate bill No. 59, entitled "An Act to amend the charter of the Chesapeake Electric and Water Company of Baltimore county, by giving it perpetual existence and extending its operations to Baltimore city and other parts of Baltimore county, and for other purposes." Which report was adopted. Mr. Bouic, from the Committee on Judicial Proceed- ings, reported favorably with proposed amendments,. Senate bill No. 30, entitled "An Act to add an addi- tional section to Article 66, of the Code of Public Gen- eral Laws, entitled ‘Mortgages,' to be known as ‘Section 23.'" AMENDMENTS PROPOSED. In section 1, of bill as amended by Committee, strike out all of said section after the word ‘Section' and insert in lieu thereof, the following: 26. Whenever any real estate or leasehold interest therein is encumbered by a mortgage, deed or other in- strument in the nature of a mortgage, except when it is otherwise agreed by the terms thereof, no annual crops pitched or cultivated by any debtor therein, or those claiming under him shall pass with the said real estate 16 |
