Persons making proposals are referred to the afore-
said Article 78 of said Code of Public General Laws for
more specific information as to what will be required of
bidders, and the manner in which the work shall be done
and paid for.
Parties desiring to bid for the printing can obtain a
b-lank form of bond by applying to the undersigned.
Bidders will endorse on the back of the envelope "Pro-
posals for State Printing."

Clerk of the Court of Appeals of Maryland.
At the hour designated in the aforegoing advertise-
ment, on the said 26th day of September, 1899, I had re-
ceived ten sealed proposals for the aforesaid printing,
each being accompanied by a good and sufficient bond
for thirty thousand dollars, as prescribed in the said ad-
vertisement, at which said hour, on the day aforesaid, I
proceeded to open said bids in the presence of the bid-
ders or their agents, and of such of the public as chose
to attend; and it appearing that William J. 0. Dulaney
Company, of the city of Baltimore, were the lowest re-
sponsible bidders, I thereupon awarded to them the con-
tract for said printing at the price set out in their bid, to
wit: The sum of twenty-eight thousand dollars ($28,000.)
I then entered into the following contract with the
said William J. C. Dulaney Company, which contract and
the bond and bid of the said William J. C. Dulany Com-
pany are filed and recorded in the office of the Clerk of
the Court of Appeals of Maryland.
CONTRACT FOR STATE PRINTING.
Articles of agreement, made and concluded this twenty-
sixth day of September, eighteen hundred and ninety-
nine, by and between Allan Rutherford, Clerk of the
Court of Appeals of Maryland, of the first part, and
William J. C. Dulaney Company, of Baltimore, a body
corporate of the State of Maryland, of the second part,
witnesseth, that:

Whereas, The said party of the second part has trans-
mitted to the party of the first part a bid for the print-
ing required to be done for the General Assembly of
Maryland, at its next ensuing session in pursuance of
the provisions of Article 78, of the Code of Public Gen
