1396 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDIINGS [Apr. 2 The bill, as amended, was passed by yeas and nays as follows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs. Applegarth, Messick, Baker, Moses, Beasman, Peter, Betts, Putzel, Bouic, Ravenscroft, Bryan, Rohrback, Dodson, Wilkinson, Gray, Williams, of Har., Marsh, Williams, of A. A. —18. NEGATIVE—NOne. Also returned, Senate bill entitled "An Act to provide for the copy- ing and recording the Marriage Records in the Clerk's office of St. Mary's county., from 1794 to 1864." Endorsed: "Amended, read the third time and passed by yeas and nays." AMENDMENT PROPOSED. In section 1, 8th line, after the word "order," strike out the words "for which he shall receive the same com- pensation as is allowed for similar work in his said office;" and at end of section, after word "county," amend by adding "provided that the cost of said work shall not exceed the sum of fifty dollars."
