Senate bill No. 38, entitled "An Aet to repeal and re-
enact, with amendments. section 9 A, of chapter 381, of
the Acts of Assembly, passed January session, 1888, en-
titled ‘An Act to amend the charter of the Agricultural
and Mechanical Association of Washington County."

ings.
Mr. Applegarth submitted the following
REPORT:
To the Honorable, the
General Assembly of Maryland:
The Finance and Ways and Means Committee of the
General Assembly of Maryland, in persuance of authority
contained in section 23, of Article 95, of the' Code of
Public General Laws; Joint Resolution No.—, passed at
the present session of 1900, and an order adopted Janu-
ary 17th, 1900, by the Senate and House of Delegates;
examined and destroyed by burning, at the request of the
State Treasurer, Hon. Thomas J. Shryock and the Treas-
urer-elect, Hon. Murray Vandiver, the evidences of the
redeemed and cancelled over-due debt of the State, pur-
chased for the use of the Sinking Fund, amounting to
$4,167,190.11 and also the bonds and certificates of in-
debtedness exchanged January 1, 1899, for a like amount
of the Consolidated Loan of 1899, amounting to $4,501-,
926.13 as set forth in Exhibit A of this report and re-
spectful recommended that the same be spread upon the
Journal of the Senate, as per the order heretofore adopted,
in order that a record thereof may be preserved among
the proceedings of the General Assembly.
The aforesaid committees further report, that they
have examined and counted the securities of the State
