House bill entitled "An Act to incorporate the Girdle
Electric Railway Company."
Which was read the second time.
Also unfavorably,
Seuate bill No. 201, entitled "An Act authorizing the
Queen Anne's Railroad Company of Maryland and Dela-
ware to change its corporate name and grant certain ad-
ditional powers and franchises to said company."
Which report was adopted.
Also favoi-ably, with proposed amendment,
Senate bill entitled "An Act to amend section 2, of
chapter 123, of the laws of Maryland, 1865, entitled an
Aet to incorporate the Annapolis Water Company."
AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Strike out all after the words "a bill” and insert the
‘following:
"Entitled An Act to amend section 2 of chapter 123, of
the Acts of 1865, entitled ‘An Act to incorporote the
Annapolis Water Company, so as to limit the capital
stock to twelve hundred and twenty-nine shares and to
authorize the Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen of the
city of Annapolis to purchase said stock for the use of
said city of Annapolis.
"Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That section 2 of chapter 123, of the Acts of
1865, entitled ‘An Act to incorporate the Annapolis
Water Company, be amended and re-enacted so as to
read as follows
Sec. 2. And be it enacted, That the capital stock of
the Annapolis Water Company shall be divided into
shares of the par value of fifty dollars each, and
be limited to twelve hundred and twenty-nine shares,
and the Mayor, Counsellor and Aldermen of the city
of Annapolis are authorized and empowered to pur-
chase said stock in any amount, as they may deem proper,
whenever the same is for sale, provided, that having
once held or purchased said stock in the corporate name
of the city of Annapolis, it shall not be sold or leased
without the consent of a majority of the qualified voters
