House bill entitled "An Act to add additional sections
to Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, title ‘City
of Baltimore,' as repealed and re-enacted by chapter 123,
of the Acts of the General Assembly of Maryland, ses-
sion 1898, sub-title Miscellaneous Local Laws,' sub-title
‘Police Commissioners,' sub-title ‘Special Fund,' to follow
section 776, and to be known as Sections 776 A, 776 B,
776 0, 776 B, 776 E and 776 F.'"
Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays."
Which was read the first time and referred to Senators
Bryan, Moses and Putzel.
Also,
House bill entitled "An Act granting and declaring the
sanction of the General Assembly of Maryland, to the
devise and bequest made by and contained in the
last will and testament of George W. Bailey, late of
Somerset county, deceased, to the Home for Friendless
Children of the Eastern Shore of Maryland, at Easton,
Maryland."
Endorsed: "Read the third time and passed by yeas
and nays."
Which was read the first time and referred to the Com-
mittee on Judicial Proceedings.
Also,
House bill entitled "An Act to authorize and empower
the Mayor and City Council of Pocomoke city, Maryland,
to contract first with the owners of the present Electric
Light plant in said city to furnish to said city the power
to run their present water plant, or secondly to contract
to furnish to the electric light plant sufficient power to
run said plant, and in the event of said last mentioned
contract being made the said Mayor and Council of Poco-
moke city are authorized and empowered to borrow the
sum of $1,500, or so much thereof as may be necessary,
to enable them to purchase the necessary engines, etc."

and nays."
