1900.] OF THE SENATE. 1095 Mr. Bouic, from Committee on Judicial Proceedings, reported unfavorably, House bill entitled "An Act to take away the remedy of distress for ground rents in Baltimore city and Balti- more county, in certain cases." Mr. Dick moved to substitute the bill for the unfavor- able report, and Pending further consideration of which, On motion to substitute, Said bill was made Special Order of the Day for Friday, March 30th, at 12.30 P. M. Also, favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to sanction the bequest of $1,000 to the Vestry of St. Luke's Church by Eloise Baker, late of Baltimore city, deceased." Which was read the second time. Mr. Beasman, from Committee on Temperance, re- ported favorably, Senate bill No. 207, entitled "An Act to extend the privileges and enlarge the powers of the Calvert Hotel and Improvement Company, in Calvert county, incorpo- rated under the General Laws of the State, and to reduce the number of directors." Which was read the second time and ordered to he engrossed for a third reading. Mr. Applegarth, from Committee on Chesapeake Bay and Tributaries, reported unfavorably, Senate bill entitled "An Act declaring certan waters of St. Mary's county, to be unknown waters within said connty, and prohibiting the taking and catching of oys- ters therein by scoops, scrape or dredge." Mr. Wilkinson moved to substitute the bill for the un- favorable report, Which motion was rejected by yeas and nays as fol- lows: AFFIRMATIVE. Messrs.
