Which was read the second time. Also, favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to extend the privileges, enlarge the powers and amend the charter of the Man- chester Bank of Carroll County, Maryland, so as to en- able it to loan money on or purchase promissory and ne- gotiable notes, bills obligatory or other evidences of debt. Which was read the second time. Also, favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 176, chapter 25, of the Acts of the General Assembly of Mary- land, passed at the January session 1898, known as the amended charter of the town of Oakland, and to re-enact. the same, so as to read as follows." Which was read the second time. Also, favorably, House bill entitled "An Act to add two additional sec- tions to Article 23, of the Code of Public General Laws title ‘Corporations,' sub-title ‘Insurance Department,' to be known as ‘Section 126 B,' of said Act, said additional sections being intended to prevent the.payment of com- missions to unlicensed agents or solicitors."
