FURTHER AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

At the end of Code section 49, add the following:
"Provided, That one-half of the license fees derived
hereunder from the license fees required to be paid on
the stock of goods over $40,000, shall be paid into the
Treasury of the City of Baltimore, where said licenses are
issued in the city of Baltimore."

The bill was read the second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.

The Senate considered the Order of the Day, being
Senate bill No. 252, entitled "An Act to add a new sec-
tion to Article 33 of the Code of Public General Laws,
title ‘Elections,' sub-title ‘Registration,' as the said Ar-
ticle was repealed and re-enacted by the Act of 1896,
chapter 202, to come in after section 25 of said Article,
and to be known as ‘25 A,' relating to legal residence of
voters."
On motion of Mr. Bryan,
Said bill was recommitted to the Committee on Elec-
tions.
The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and de-
