265 I and 265 J. ' "

"Section 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That sections 265 and 271, of Article 22, of the
Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Washington County, ' sub-
title 'Justices of the Peace and Constables, ' be, and the same
are hereby repealed and re-enacted with amendments, and
that ten new sections be added to said Article 22, to fol-
low immediately after section 265, to be designated as
follows: "265 A, 265 B, 265 C, 265 D. 265 E, 265 F, 265
G, 265 H, 265 I and 265 J. "

"265. There shall be the following number of the jus-
tices of the peace and constables for Washington county,
to be appointed for the election districts of said county,
as follows: "Number 1, 2 justices of the peace and 2 con-
stables; number 2, 3 justices of the peace and 2 constables;
for numbers 3, 17, 21, 22, 24 and 25, constituting the
town of Hagerstown and vicinity, 8 justices of the peace
and four constables; number 4, 2 justices of the peace
and two constables; number 5, 3 justices of the peace and
2 constables; number (5, 2 justices of the peace and 2
constables; number 7, 2 justices of the peace and 2 con-
stables; number 8, 2 justices of the peace and 2 consta-
bles: number 9, 2 justices of the peace and 2 constables-
number 10, 2 justices of the peace and 2 constables;
number 11. 2 justices of the peace and 2 constables,
number 12, 2 justices of the peace arid 2 constables;
number 13, 2 justices of the peace and 2 constables;
number 14 2 justices of the peace and 2 constables;
number 15, 2 justices of the peace and 2 constables,
number 16, 2 justices of the peace and 2 constables;
number 18, 2 justices of the peace and 2 constables;
number 20, 2 justices of the peace and 2 constables;
number 23, 2 justices of the peace and 2 constables;

"265 A. The Governor, in the commission to be issued
by him to the Justices of the peace appointed from and
for districts 3, 17, 21, 22, 24 and 25, shall designate one
of said justices of the peace PS police justice in and for
Hagerstown: which said justice of the peace shall,
in addition to his duties as justice of the peace of
the State of Maryland have the enforcement of the
charter and ordinances of said town; he shall have all the
