AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend by striking out the whole of section 17 and
substitute the following:

"Sec. 17. And be it further enacted, That said body
corporate is hereby made subject to the provisions of
each of chapters 109 and 278 of the Acts of the General
Assembly of Maryland, passed at the January Session of
1892, and are amendments and supplements thereto.

"Sec. 18. And be it enacted, That this Act shall take
effect from the date of its passage. "

No. 181 was laid on the table be reconsidered.

to the Judiciary Committee.

House bill entitled "An Act to repeal and re-enact
with amendments section 4, of chapter 102, of the Acts
of 1896, entitled 'An Act to provide for the formation of
Farmers' Institutes in the State of Maryland, and to ap-
propriate a sum of money therefor. ' "

Mr. Collins, from Committee on Claims, reported favor-
ably,

House bill entitled "Ar, Act to refund to Abraham Cor-
bett of Washington county, a sum of money erroneously
paid by him into the Treasury of the State. "

Mr. Lehmayer, from Committee on Judiciary, reported
favorably,

House bill entitled "An Act to add an additional sec-
tion to Article 4, of the Code of Public Local Laws, en-
titled 'City of Baltimore, ' sub-title 'Taxes, ' to be known
as 'Section 836 A. "
