WEDNESDAY, March 14th, 1900.

The House met at 12 M., and was opened with prayer
by the Rev. J. Earle Maloy.

Present at the call of the roll the following members:

Messrs. Speaker, King, Garner, Kendall, Norris, of
Kent; Ditty, Krems, Phelps, Feldmeyer, Simmons, Gib-
son, Walbach, of G., Lancaster, Choate, Stewart, Truitt,

of Talbot; Ward, Dryden, Disharoon, Corkran, Pattison,
Linthicum, Mackie, Keys, Kimble, Merrick, Perkins,
Contee, Dudley, of Queen Anne's; Norman, Smith,
Anderson, of Worcester; Buckey. Waters, Bast, Lakin,
Brown, of Frederick; Mitchell, Proctor, Hopkins, Foster,
Satterfield, Lednum, Scrimger, Dunn, Gately, Brown, of
Balto, city; Mencke, Bramble, Sanford, Knott, Lehmayer,
Latrobe, Curtis, Duncan, Martenet, Siegmund, Robinson,
Real, Johnson, Long, Staley, Biggs, Wolfinger, Clark,
Deets, Frenzel, Radcliffe, Close, Critchfield, Graeff, An-
derson, of Carroll; Norris, of Carroll; Hoffacker, Walsh,
Wolfe, Waller, Roberts, Bennett, Wilson, Finzel—86.

The Journal of the 13th inst, was read and approved.

PETITIONS, MEMORIALS AND OTHER PAPERS.

Mr. Anderson, of Carroll, presented the petition of citi-
zens of Carroll county against modification of Sunday
law.

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore city
delegation.

The Speaker presented the petition of Joseph T.
Hooper and others in favor of a general local option law.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on
Temperance.

Mr. Pattison, (by request), presented the petition of
W. H. Spedden and other citizens of Cambridge, asking
for the passage of a law regulating the prices of water
furnished by the Cambridge Water Company.
